Coelogyne ochracea var. lemoniana

The short sprays of sparkly white flowers have a lemon yellow centre to the lip. This is a Himalayan orchid and needs distinct wet and dry seasons throughout the year. From now on we are watering regularly and spraying the leaves too. The flowers emerge from the centre of the new leaf growth which continues to grow after the flowers have gone, making a new pseudobulb at its base. Keep drier and cool, dropping to 10°C, during the winter.

Sweetly scented.

The average pot size is 11cm.
