Delivery update 16th August 2022

Over the next few weeks there will be some planned strike days by Royal Mail and Parcelforce, who we use to despatch our orders. This will mean some disruption to the days that are available to us to despatch orders. The proposed strike days are:
Fri 26th August
Weds 31st August
Thurs 8th September
Fri 9th September

In addition to these days there is also the Bank Holiday on Monday 29th August so there will be no orders despatched then.

To avoid delay in delivery of your orchids this really limits us to which days we can despatch.
Between the 22nd August and 12th September we would recommend only using Express Delivery and our Express Delivery Service despatch days for Orchids will be:
Mon 22nd August
Tuesday 23rd August
Mon 5th September
Tuesday 6th September

In between these dates we will endeavour to use other delivery companies for urgent orders but because we are not in a contract with these companies, they may be harder to track and claim for, if something goes wrong.
Even on the days where there isn’t a strike, it is very likely that Parcelforce will be really busy, catching up on the backlog, and this could result in parcels stuck in a depot for longer than we would usually like.
We are sorry for the delays this may cause for delivery over the next few weeks but we want to keep your plants safe and not stuck in depots, especially if there is hot/warm weather. Please contact us if you have any questions, regarding the delivery of your order.
These issues will really only apply to orchid orders. Sundries and compost orders will still be sent on the days that we are able to despatch as delay will not affect the contents.
Please continue to place orders as normal, online or by phone if you need help or advice and bear with us to get them delivered safely as soon as we can.
